{"id":428,"date":"2021-06-15T10:14:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-15T10:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/petrosioannidis.com\/?p=428"},"modified":"2022-05-20T08:35:13","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T08:35:13","slug":"bio-sonic-sense","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/petrosioannidis.com\/index.php\/2021\/06\/15\/bio-sonic-sense\/","title":{"rendered":"Bio-sonic Sense"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>An interactive artwork where visitors can explore the effects of sound pollution in marine mammals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Bio-sonic Sense is an interactive installation that positions the participant in the place of a marine mammal, exploring the surrounding space through the use of echolocation &#8211; while being affected by the sound pollution that is happening in the ocean. The visitor navigates the space using the audio feedback and passive haptics that the experience provides. It is an intimate playful experience, that exposes the participant in the world of those animals, and creates an understanding of their identity through ambiguity and boundary play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was developed during the Catch Collective summer camp 2019, and was exhibited in the collective&#8217;s art exhibition space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Role: <strong>Experience Designer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We built the installation in five days. I was responsible for designing the interaction and developing the communication of sensors with the Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
